had vsg yesterday and feeling kinda dazed, like reality has been suspended and I am now just a sipping machine. I have zero hunger and strange twinges and gas build up in my chest, shoulders and belly. I'm hoping to relearn my body signals, so many new sensations that I havent learned to read yet, i.e. sip too big = painful twinge. thankful for uncomplicated surgery :)

you need to walk more to get rid of that gas and a hot towel does wonders for the gas pain

Congratulations on your new tummy.  Yes, it does take a while to understand the body signals from the new smaller tummy.  I'm glad to hear your surgery went well, and that you are up and posting already!

Welcome to the loser's bench!

I will have my sleeve tomorrow. I hasn't thought about having to learn new body signals, but it does make sense. I'm glad it was a successful and uncomplicated surgery.  Best of luck for a great recovery!

Your body is going to lie to you for a while.

The nerves in your stomach have been cut so you won't feel any hunger. You also won't feel restriction after eating. It will pass though.

Good Luck!
