So I had purchased some vanilla wafers to make a banana pie to take to someone.  Last night my S/O had gotten into them and I took them away from him( he is tall skinny, can eat anything) and set them on the night stand because I really just wanted to go to sleep and didn't feel like getting up and taking them back to the kitchen.  About an hour later I wake up in pain and realize I am eating these things in my sleep.  I mean I am in serious pain at this point and want to vomit.  All morning I have been asking myself what the heck?? I have NEVER done something like this before not even before surgery.  We have all had our late night snacking issues here and there but never while I am sleeping.

Just curious, are you taking Ambien?  My mother does and wakes in the night to eat.  Sometimes I will find her eating on the toilet.

No, but I did take a half of a benedryl last night.  That is not unusual for me.  I am just ftfo about the whole thing.

Wow.  Never underestimate the power of our subconscious!  I've never had this happen, but I can totally understand it.  Next time toss the cookies across the room.  Maybe you'll wake up if your subconscious tries to get you out of bed while sleeping!  (smile)

Sleep eating is a condition many people have. I believe it is often brought on by stress. Are you extra stressed?
