Long time lurker.  Figured it was time to come out of the shadows and introduce myself.  I am a 48 year old professional female.  I also have Crohn's disease.  Over the past 8 years I have put on 10 pounds per year, added to the 10 I was already carrying I find myself 90 pounds heavier.  I was able to loose the weight when I was younger but the older I have become the harder it has been.  I have been researching WLS for about 2 years and had my first appointment with the doctor in May so it has moved fast (great insurance).  I am doing the 2 week full liquid preop diet, had some issues due to my Crohn's but the doctor's staff have been great.  as you can tell by my name I love Disney and spend several vacations a year there (nope, not in FL).  I am sure I will have many questions in the coming weeks, already posted one, and I do appreciate any advice you have to offer.

Welcome!  My pre-op went fast as well (2 months from "I want WLS" to surgery).  This site has been life saving.  I would not have known the REAL rules about WLS if I hadn't found this site and learned from seasoned vets.  Good luck to you and read as much as you can.  It'll be here before you know it :)  xoxo
