I had my 1 month surgerversary yesterday and my weight loss has been so slow.  Surgery 8/3, down 9lbs.  Getting in 70-90 gms of protein day, not up to 64oz of liquid but close to it, n junk food, totally sticking t plan.  Riding my bike, going to gym 2-3 days week.  I cannot understand and am so depressed over this slow weight loss.  I know people that are cheating and losing more weight then me.  I started out surgery day at 253.5, now 245lbs.  Any ideas, any help and advice very much appreciated.

Post your food log or a typical day of food intake.

You didn't put down your carb count or total amount of calories per day.  Those are key -- you can be doing everything else right but if those two things are out of whack then you can be sabotaging yourself.

So you haven't lost much weight but have you been keeping track of your measurements?  Typically when the scale isn't moving but you're walking a strict program you'll see inches drop off like crazy.

I just checked back on my log, and my carbs were between 30-42 the past 4-5 days, and calories average 600-750/day. Any ideas.  I just rode my bike for 40 minutes, just fyi, and doing exercise 4-5 days week.  Will go to pool later and walk in pool as I have 2 bad knees.  Thanks

I think you're doing perfect – don't change a thing! Remember that this is a marathon not a sprint.

We all reach our goal weight at different times but from that point forward it's the rest of our lives that we have to work to maintain it.  Nobody gets a medal for getting to goal faster than someone else. You will do it!

Frustrating, but really, know that you are going to get there. In the past I would lose weight slowly...then it all came off over a summer. Keep us posted, and keep doing what you're doing.

did you lose weight in pre-op?  if so, 9lbs a month is good (that's >4% of your body weight!)
