And now this....

On top of my issues with consuming protein drinks, and my newly discovered nauseousness whenever I swallow a 1/2 pill of a vitamin or calcium, one of my incisions that was mostly healed is now open, oozing and infected. I cannot get a break. Sigh. I have been putting Neosporin and a clean bandaid on it, but it isn't healing. I have a dr appt on 12/10, but wonder if I should go in sooner than that. It doesn't look too bad, but it is red, itchy and a little painful...and yeah...oozing. I am keeping it uncovered at night. Suggestions?

Call your doc's office and ask to speak to a nurse. Once you describe it to them, they should be able to tell you what you need to do.

An infected incision leading into the abdominal cavity, I would definitely go in.

I would suggest you get that checked out right away. I had the same thing happens and was put on a course of antibiotics.

I would also stop the neosporin. It really makes wounds angry after a few days and my derm recommends not using it more than three days in a row.

Keep it clean, covered and call the doc office.
