One Month Yesterday

I am amazed at the difference a month makes.  I'm allowed (finally) to slowly progress beyond puréed foods.  Had one ounce of Tuna, hard-boiled egg, and string cheese at different meals and they were great.  Amazingly I felt pretty full after each meal.  I've become used to sipping water constantly.  I have felt quite comfortable with the incisions since a couple of weeks ago.  Best yet is that I lost 17 pounds last month which greatly exceeded my expectations, though I know the weight loss is going to slow down now.  I dumped all my outgrown clothes (never did that on previous diets).

I never felt nausea and was able to eat the 2 ounces of puréed food from day 3 on.  Apparently that is not the norm?

Anyway, I'm so thrilled that I did this and hoping that this new tool will not only help me finish getting the weight off, but will finally be the tool to allow me to maintain.

Congratulations on your first month.  I am so pleased that you are doing so well with your new tummy.  I think you will find that the sleeve will help you in maintenance, as it has for me.

I'm three years post op and I'm maintaining within a few pounds of my goal weight.  It takes effort - I don't want to imply it is easy.  But it is possible.

best wishes on your weight loss journey

Carol
