Every Halloween at work they have Candy Night. Everyone brings a bunch of candy and they pile it on a table, and they gorge on it. Since I'm on vacation starting on Halloween, I thought I could avoid it, but no they are doing it Friday night instead. I know it won't put me in a headlock or anything, but I'd just rather not be there.  It's kind of gross for me to see people stuffing themselves now. At least I'm not craving it anymore.

Oh that brings me back to when I was a kid & me and my friends would pile our Halloween booty on the floor & divy it up between us, & eat away. But damn that was when we were kids, I can't imagine doing that as an adult. I guess some people never grow up. lol

Good luck making it thru the day. Sweets are my kryptonite!

The group that presented yesterday in my Anatomy class passed out candy.  I was the only one to decline, but damn that felt good to do :)

Bring  sugar free mini Reese cups and complete protein cookies :) the cookies are higher carb than I like but they do have quite a good amount of protein. I like the snicker doodle and peanut butters one the best. If you can't abstain, you can nibble on it. It's a huge cookie. I keep the Reese cups because sometimes certain meds make me crave chocolate. Not very often but sometimes. And one is enough to curb it.  I usually end up giving them to my sisters or my daughter.

Okay, I gotta ask: Are you talking about Larry and Lenny's complete cookies?

If so, I just want to put out there that those are super duper high in calories and sugar. A regular sized chocolate chip cookie (4 oz) is 360 calories with 30 grams of sugar, 54 carbs, 16 grams protein. They do have the smaller version which is 1/2 the size at 2 oz. That smaller one is 180 calories and 15 grams of sugar, and 27 carbs, and 8 grams protein. For those stats, I'd probably opt for the real thing and enjoy the hell out of it! Not knocking you, just sayin'...

I would have to agree given those stats. My cookie obsession revolves squarely around sugar, and I am pretty sure those would be triggery. I am pretty liberal with what I will allow as protein too. (Think Kays Naturals protein cookies, fiber crackers, etc.) I have finally found a protein bar that tastes crappy enough that I don't want to eat it like a candy bar, but just good enough to use as a meal replacement. That took 5 years to find.

Being in that situation, I would bring the cookie. That way if my will power gave, I had something that was better than Halloween candy. Notice I said nibble on it, not eat the whole thing. I also said I only eat 1 SugarFree candy :)  I would also put the whole cookie in my fitness pal, so if I do eat the whole cookie, it's already in my daily plan. Then arrange my day around it, just in case.

I don't nibble. I'd eat the whole thing. Moderation and I have not made friends yet!

I've never nibbled on a cookie, or anything. I'd eat it all, eat the rest of the package, plastic and all, and start eating your arm if you dozed off.

Agree it's NO cookie or I used to go ALL cookie monster with no control until they were all gone.  So each day I must make the effort to always pick the NO cookies option.
