I am curious if anyone else had a VSG without gall bladder and if it makes any difference. I had my gall bladder removed years ago and hope to have a VSG next year.

I had my gallbladder out when I was 21. Had vsg 10/4/16...I was 39.  Seems all is well so I don't think it makes a difference.

I had my gall bladder removed 11 months before VSG. Hasn't made a bit of difference. I'd say go for it! I'll be 5 months post op next week and am down 80 lbs. Absolutely no regrets!!

My lack of gall bladder wasn't an issue for surgery, and in fact, the gas bubble I had from gall bladder surgery was worse than what I have from VSG.  So far so good, 2 days out from surgery.  You should be just fine!

Gall bladder removed in 2001. Surgery this past September. No issues so far, but my clinic did warn that you could still have gall bladder like issues even without one.  I've read about a lot of people who have had to have theirs removed since surgery, so probably just as easy to start without it.

I had my gall bladder out in 1995. I had VSG on 9/6/16. The only difference I have seen is an improvement. I do not have the "Got to Run" syndrome I had after my gall bladder surgery when I eat meat. Good Luck!

Galbladder out in 2008, VSG in 2013. No trouble at all in that department! The surgeon was even able to do a few of my WLS incisions right on top of the incisions from the lap GB surgery so I have fewer scars, which was nice.
