I got caught up at work and missed taking my vitamin this morning. Is it better to take a double dose of them now or skip it?

Which vitamin(s) did you miss particularly?

I'm three weeks post op, so I take a multi vitamin twice a day and B12 once a day. Got one dose of the vitamin this evening (and the B12). Should I take another of the vitamin now (I took the last one an hour ago) or just skip it and get back on track tomorrow?

Thanks. Wasn't sure if a double dose would make me sick. Appreciate your quick responses.

The times you shouldn't double are those involving calcium and iron.  You need to take no more than 500-600mg Calcium CITRATE at a time, 2 hours apart.  And you should leave 2 hours between Iron and Calcium for absorption.

You can skip...no biggie.  Reading the article on the main page from a few days ago about post surgery prioities, water food then vits.  It takes a few months for real vit shortage to effect the body, so you're covered.  Just try to figure out a singling system for yourself to remember to get them in.

I'd just move forward with my next scheduled dose... maybe set your phone alarm as a reminder. If you have an iPhone here's what I do...

I've missed doses on several occasions, mainly because I run out the door for the day and forget to take them with me. I do not recommend this, but I do want to say that it is something that we build up in our systems for the long haul. If you miss a dose here and there, it won't be a huge deal. If you go days without taking them, then you may have problems.

Ive put mine on my desk so I HAVE to look at them every morning. It helps.
