So far the week is going well for me and I'm not feeling overscheduled or overwhelmed. It's a great way to feel! I've got class this morning and then, on the way home, I need to get my new glasses adjusted and get my allergy shot. Other than that, it's just the usual homework, cooking dinner, and date night with Art. Woo!

1: protein shake
2: leftover skirt steak stirfry
3: Gingered pork with leeks (the cookbook for the week is "Simply Ming One-Pot Meals" so there are a lot of stir fry recipes!)

exercise: a walk around campus

For me, the week has been quite exhausting. I think my body is still adjusting to my recent increase in exercise. I work out with my trainer today after work. I get done around 2pm, so I'll go to the gym and do elliptical until my appointment.

Yesterdays #'s: Calories-1023, Fat-59.9g, Fiber-2.3g, Carbs-21.1g, Sodium-1225.8mg, Protein-101.2g, Water-73.6 fl oz. Daily Calorie Composition: 8% from carbs, 53% from fat and 39% from protein.

AM/B: SF Peppermint Latte w/ON white chocolate protein

L: Turkey Breast & Cottage Cheese

S: Premier Protein

E: Elliptical & Abs & Yin Yoga

Right now I am on a modified liquid diet. So my day consist of different flavored protein shakes, protein bars, and broths. Today is day 3 for me and it gets easier as the days go by!

  • I drink almost a gallon of water a day.
  • I have started back with an exercise class called SWEAT (which is like therapy to me)
  • Quest Protein bar (blueberry flavor) is everything right now

Really stressful around here these days. My husband and I decided about a month ago it was time for me to quit work..#1 so I could be a stay at home mom #2 so I could focus on recovery from surgery and really give this my all. That was a great decision! but as we work for the same company our boss was pissed to see his "right hand girl" leave and began taking it out on my husband..fast forward to Monday when he demoted my husband from his management position. And next week looming over my head is the court case against the truck driver who crashed into my mom and step-dad's car, killing them both instantly. I have been doing great post op but this stress is fueling the head hunger, but I have no contraband in this house! I am as determined as ever but this does suck! Enough pity party...

So sorry you and your husband are having to deal with that kind of junk. Private employers really do suck sometimes. Hope everything works out, hang in there!

Wow! Lots of stress. I also lost my Mom and Step-Dad in a similar way. Mine were pedestrians and hit by a drunk driver and killed instantly.
