I revised from band (2006) to sleeve(2017).

As Gwen said....are you having problems with the band?

Have you discussed this with your doctor and he's against it?

Have you regained the weight you lost (or how much if any)?

Do you have any co-morbidities or other issues?

I had a hiatal hernia that was aggravated by the band - and it really wasn't working for me anymore because I had to have it emptied and that still didn't alleviate the problems with the hernia. I had the hernia repaired when they did my sleeve and have not had any problems with it since then.

My doctor did not give me any pushback when I told him what I wanted to do....he was encouraging and supportive.

All that being said.....best thing I did!!! LOVE my sleeve. I'm now 8 pounds lower than my lowest band weight and I feel fantastic.

Best of luck with whatever you choose to do.

Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them but you always know they're there.
