Welcome to the site, you look amazing!

My experience in hospital wasn't great. I was in a ton of pain after surgery, and felt miserable all over and sooooo thirsty! My mouth felt like a desert. However, afterwards when I got to come home, I was only down that day I came home. After that I was up, doing light chores and out and about in the house and yard. I felt great, very little pain (didn't need to take the liquid hydrocodone they gave me). After a week home, I didn't even feel like I had any surgery at all. Nothing hurt, not my insides, or the incisions.

I call my doctor when I need something, but I have only seen him since my surgery on Jan 13th, 2017. I've lost over 100 lbs so far (need to update my ticker I think). And am so pleased with my progress and how I feel. This site has been so valuable for me, everyone's experiences and insight and advice as helped me more than I ever could explain. People here are great.

Hi Liz! I love your last name. My maiden is Sanchez! Congratulations on your weight loss. I had my surgery in California and my experience was great. When I woke up after surgery I was a little nausea, but I let the nurses know and immediately was giving something to get rid of the feeling. After that, everything else went really smooth. I had no pain ******aybe a little soreness but nothing extremely painful. I also lost 80 lbs. After surgery I saw my surgeon every 3 months, but now I see my surgeon once a year. I can't say enough about my Dr., she's awesome. I attend a WLS support group twice a month and we also have a facebook page, Valley Care Weekend Wanderers. This is a private page, since some of our members have not shared their WLS with friends. I wish you continue luck with your sleeve.
