For some reason McDonald's Diet Coke is the best, especially through a straw!!!!! I haven't tried it since surgery, bet it's still just as good!

I was a Diet Pepsi addict before surgery. Soda doesn't appeal to me anymore. I drink tea, coffee, and water. Once in a while I drink Vitamin Zero (orange and lemonade). Like Cathy my taste buds changed after surgery.

Happy anniversary!

I bet you're all super excited to read about my amazing post-plastics meal plan. Right?! Well here's something I was told but didn't really pay attention to. While the LBL (lower body lift) of course does nothing to your actual stomach, it does tighten everything around your stomach which means you effectively can't eat as much because your stomach has nowhere to expand! I also have about zero appetite. However, protein is king so I've got to get it in whether I want to or not. And there's the antibiotic issue. And the constipation thing

1: protein shake

2: yogurt

3: protein shake

4: protein shake since I'll still be a little low on protein at that point.

Liquid and vites: clearly liquid is good. Vites are finally back on track. I sort of skipped them for a week post-op due to all the other drugs I had to take.

Exercise: lol, no. But I walked out to get the mail for the first time since surgery!

I was never a soda drinker pre-VSG due to my fructose malabsorption but when my dad was in the hospital prior to moving to hospice my stomach was super upset and the hospital had diet ginger ale. Best drink ever. And I'll probably never drink it again due to the association now :P

My mother used to give me ginger ale when I was sick.

Now ginger ale makes me nauseous due to the association...

Ugh. That sucks. I have a similar issue with febreeze - I used it for cat urine so often that now febreeze smells like cat urine to me!

Since skin doesn't actually weigh much - this is the real reason we lose weight post-plastics :)

Happy Friday, folks! We made it! Happy Anniversary, Erin! 10 years is a milestone. My husband and I will reach 14 this year, and I seriously do not know where all that time has went. It flies! The good thing is my hubs has been with me literally through "thick and thin" and loves me either way. Support is so important, from any source, when we are trying to take our health back and get in control of ourselves and our weight. :)

B: Bananas and cream, little bit of coffee

S: turkey summer sausage stick

L: Oscar meyer lean smoked ham, kraft reduced fat twist string cheese, 2 T. roasted red pepper hummus

S: peach triple zero oikos

D: something off the meat ball food truck that will be at Boulevardia. Either their chicken bbq one or the pacific salmon one. Both high protein, I'd figure.

Water: I NEED to make myself get in 96 oz today, because I'll be in the hot sun volunteering from 3:30pm to 7:30pm tonight.

Exercise: walking at work, 40 mins total

Vites/Supps: In. (reminds me I need to call surgeons' office and find out when they are going to let me know my blood test results from the 6 mo. follow up apt last Thursday.
