I am just curious as I hear this alot, about " the honey moon stage has ended"

Everyones different but wondered how long this honey moon rapid weightloss stage lasted for you?

I plan to incoperate home work outs aswell, but its good to know and be prepared that eventually things may slow down but to keep up with the work outs that it will budge slowely.

Also people have said not to excersise till you have lost some weight, why is this?

"They" seem to say 6-12 months for VSGers but I think everyone is different. I have been dedicated to my plan and my weight loss has been very consistent for 6 straight months. Not one week without a loss (though I've had weeks with .2lbs, and it's totally normal to see some stalls too).

I have seen other folks on here who lose much slower and some that lose even faster. It's really about how you work your plan and how your body responds to the changes.

Fantastic ! Your weight loss is amazing.

I was 244 highest at pre op. Two weeks out 230lbs.

Would love to know what your plan looks like ? I've noticed some snack some don't. Do you ?

I add in small meals as needed to get my protein goal. I keep it mostly to jerky and cheese (1oz of either). I also have a protein shake (Premier) daily. My day normally looks like 3 meals with only protein and sometimes a very small amount of veggies, a shake mixed in coffee and a 1 oz snack.

I'm about 7 months post surgery. I still have good restriction and can only eat about 4oz at a time.

I am much more active. I'm starting to feel hungry more often and have to plan my whole days meals and stick to the plan to keep from going over what I am allowed. I have cravings (head hunger) more often too.

I think this is were the hard part starts...

Yes I hear you about head hunger. I'm only two weeks out. And it was bad at first. But I feel myself being more logical now. I take a shot of protein shake and realise oh. Not hungry at all that filled me up lol I bet it will be harder as I get going.

That's a good idea planning meals.I'm thinking of cooking lots of low carb bites I can do as meals so just easy to grab and eat. Hope that works.

I'm coming up on 9 months post-surgery (July 31). I lost the most weight during the first 6 months, and I think that's pretty normal for a lot of people. Now I'm running about 1-2 pounds a week, and I think I've seen here that you'll lose the most weight the first year after surgery.

Thanks for answering . do you feel you did the exact same thing for 9 months but your body just slowed in down itself at about 6m or did anything change ? 2 lb a week is still pretty fast in my mind !! :)

I was at 600 calories for the first 4 months or so, then upped to 800 cals at the 6-month mark. I'm still at 800 cals a day now. So partly from more cals and partly just because I've lost so much, it takes longer now. And yes, I agree...2 lbs is great at this point, so I'm definitely not complaining!
