The dreaded 3 week stall ......... moving right along !

Was going great guns - feeling well. Still tire a bit after a long day at work and very careful with lifting but all in all great. I have energy

I hit the 3 week stall last week - I weigh every day (I know many dont but its just a habit I have formed over the years) and I put on 0.88 lbs and sat there for most of the week. This could have been water retension as it was also the lead up to TTOTM. I tried not to worry too much about it and just kept doing what I have been doing

Well it finally broke today :) Im happy and I dropped 1.5 lbs. Hoping that was it and when I weigh tommorrow I am back on the loosers bench. I am 2 days off my first month from surgery. Happy to say that I have lost 31.9lbs since my 2 week pre op diet till now.

We had my stepsons Baby reveal on Saturday and for the first time I felt good. Its winter here and I wore fitted leggings, boots and a nice top. People noticed my weight loss and commented how good I was looking. Im still smiling :) Its weird as I used to always feel so fat and frumpy when we went out.

Have a great day all

Shirley

Good for you! Way to hang in there and not stress (too much) about the temporary fluctuations.

Hi Shirley

thanks for posting this. I have been experiencing the week 3 stall and it has had me worried. It is good to know I am not alone. What did you do to break it, or did you just stay on track.

Also are you concerned about the fat and carbs you are eating, or just focusing on the protein?

thsnks and congratulations on your breakthrough

Hi Agran

I didnt do anything - just tried to relax as much as I could as I had read many people experience this. I just continued eating as I had been.

It also helped that I finished my period so think the fluid retension ceasing would have helped

Right now Im focused on getting my protein and fluids in. I started solid foods this week and am managing fine. Im eating a few carbs mainly for fibre but only in small amounts

:)

  1. Thanks so much. That really helps. You are doing great. I am still only able to eat about 400 calories or so a day but it is going down okay. Are you getting in more than that?
