I just met with the bariatric internist. In my program, he is the one *****commends clearance for surgery to the surgeon.

I passed, and he confirmed that VSG is my best option because of medications I take/may need in future.

I have a very bumpy medical history, so I've been proactive in having my doctor send me for all relevant tests (echo, blood counts including vitamins, sleep apnea, etc.) and I made sure to obtain test results from all of my recent hospital stays.

Tomorrow I call in to get my surgery date. Things are starting to become very real, wow!

So I'm almost an official member of the VSG forum, which means many mote questions are on the way. :)

I can relate to other medical issues. It is also why I chose VSG. I am hoping this surgery will help me out to be a healthier me for when that cancer comes calling again. Good luck!
