SURGERY DATE!!!!

So I met with my surgeon today with the expectation of being told he wouldn't want to do the vsg on me bc of my recent diagnosis with eosinophillic esophagitis. Turns out, he has no problem performing the sleeve on me bc evidently EOE doesn't have much to do with acid reflux. I even told him I never had any symptoms of reflux before so I was shocked when my scope biopsy results came back with me having EOE & acid reflux. My date is Oct 19th. I'm over the moon & so freaking ready to get this going!!!

That's great, grats on your surgery date. I know I was filled with excitement and anxiety all at once. Part of me wondered if I was making the dumbest mistake of my life. I'm glad that part of me didn't win out. You'll love it.

That's sorta how I feel too! But I know this is gonna be a wonderful journey. Things always get worse before they get better right? : )

Congrats! My surgery is this coming Monday! I am so excited and ready to see what is yet to come but so nervous at the same time! When I had my scope he also told me I have some acid reflux but have never had symptoms! Let the journey begin!
