Tight feeling in abdomen

Has anyone experienced this? I have a kind of tight feeling inside my abdomen, kind of in the middle. It is inside and not external, as my belly is soft with all the looser skin. I notice it more at night and the feeling isn't painful, just odd and not pleasant. I do take a PPI in the evening and one in the morning. I would ask the surgeon but my next appt is in 2.5 months. Just odd. i thought it could be gas in my intestines, hunger (even tho I don't feel hungry), acid...

HW 290. Start weight 229. Day of Surgery 209. Month 2: 190. Month 3: 182. Month 4: 174. Month 5: 164. Month 6: 159. Month 7: 153. Month 8: 147. Month 9: 145. Month 10: 142. Month 11: 138 Month 12: 137. Month 13: 139 Month 14: 131. Month 15: 130. Month 16: 131. Month 17: 128. 162 pounds lost!!
Two year anniversary upon me in 3 days: 136. Need to lose a few pounds..

it could be a hernia.
Why do you say hernia? I have nighttime crampiness as well... that I find a mystery. I had a hernia before and it didn't feel like this. Just curious

I'd call the surgeon and ask. No need to wait to see them; this is ostensibly part of their job.

I didn't think of a hernia but that sounds like a possibility. A lot of people have them. How do they screen for one out of curiosity?
