Tomorrow marks 2 weeks post-op for me! It's also the end of this liquid diet. I have a nutrition class at 11:30 tomorrow to find out what the next stage is. I can't wait! I've bee sick of protein shakes since the end of the first week! Looking at how other diets progress I assume I'll be on soft foods.

I'm 2 days behind you and can't wait! I start Stage 2 puréed diet this week. I bought an immersion blender to purée foods. I'm looking forward to a scrambled egg!! Good luck. Let me know how it goes.

My program doesn't give information ahead of time, I think to prevent people from advancing their diet on their own. We have to attend nutrition classes to find out the next stage. But yeah, I'm assuming scrambled eggs will be on the menu!

That's interesting. They really don't trust people! My stages are spelled out in a handbook for patients. Each stage is 2 weeks and that gets me to Stage 5 which is regular food. This week I'm looking forward to very soft small quantities of cottage cheese, egg, pudding, cream soups and my usual protein shakes. I've been hungry but it's mostly in my head.

Congratulations! By the way, some people don't handle eggs well for a while... So the only thing that is likely guaranteed to be on your menu is yogurt!

Good to know! Yogurt is actually on my menu now. My program considers greek yogurt a full liquid. I was surprised but hey it made for a little variety in my menu.

Enjoy! But I'll be honest with you, I vomited 6 tiny thoroughly chewed bites of scrambled egg the other day. A few minutes in, I felt so nauseous, hope it's better for u. I've been subsisting on low fat cottage ( I sprinkled in some parmesan last night), Chobani f/f s/f w/ splenda, & shakes, & for a snack with my benefiber low fat low cal pureed mushroom soup. All in all, better than just shakes!

When you try your scrambled egg, make sure it's not scrambled dry...that can be a big issue. The more moist the egg is, the better. Low heat, stir and stir. Try mixing in some cream cheese if you're allowed.

I got a pleasant surprise at my nutrition class today. I can actually go straight to solid food! I have to cut it up very small and chew thoroughly, but that's doable.
