Being Sick

Well I have officially caught the sick bug. Everyone in my department was sick except me for the past 3 weeks and now it finally caught up to me.

Yesterday I had a fever of 100.4, sore throat, chills, sweating a lot, and no appetite!

I forced myself to eat soup because my throat was so swollen and I couldn't get anything else down so I just had soup broth with a few carrots in it and I know I can't not eat.

What OTC cold/flu pills do you take? I used to take Alka Seltzer cold tablets but they are NSAIDS. :(

I take DayQuil. It has acetaminophen (Tylenol), which is OK for us to take.

Focus on staying hydrated. Eating really doesn't matter at all for a few days. If you aren't at goal, your body has plenty of its own fuel to consume!

I use Nyquil/Dayquil gels or liquid if I can't swallow the gel capsule. And drink, drink, drink. You may want to consider watered down Gatorade G2 (Which has less sugar than regular gatorade). You don't want to add dehydration to the flu. Or stick with broth. Liquids are going to be even more important now.
