Good morning!

Friday was my 28th birthday , but my coworkers listened to me and didn't try to bring food and cake, so that made me happy!

DW took me to Seasons 52, and we had a lovely time. We ordered some small plates (grilled chicken skewers, lamb meatballs, seared scallops) to split before going bowling! We may return to this restaurant in the future; the menu lists all of the nutrition information and the small plates are almost all protein packed and low carb.

Yesterday, my family came over and that was fun. They brought baked turkey with green beans and a small cake for candles, but I had a couple ounces of sugar free vanilla ice cream as a treat for the evening. (Obviously no cake!)

My point is...I feel pretty supported by my family. And that feels nice.

QOTD: Hmm. We have 5 jobs between the two of us, so we don't really have much time for events unless it's summertime. I suppose when this happens in the future, I'll take a small meat and cheese tray, shrimp ****tail, or turkey meatballs in a sriracha glaze. I'm trying a taco casserole from Bariatric Foodie tonight or tomorrow, so that may be a possibility.

B: premier chocolate with coffee

L. Crockpot salsa chicken

D: TBD...probably fish or turkey (hardboiled egg or K protein cereal with skim if I'm feeling lazy!)

Snacks: babybel cheese, shredded chicken with buffalo sauce

Oh! We booked a trip to Gatlinburg for Spring Break! Found a small cabin near the strip and Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, 3 days for $300! Great deal. We usually do the 1 and 3 mile hike with the waterfall. Since we have lost a combined total of 96 pounds between the two of us, we are going to attempt the 8 mile hike this time! I'm very excited! I hope this isn't obsessive, but we have pictures from 2015 when I was at my highest. I want to take pictures in the same spots and compare...it'll b3 at least a 100 pound difference by then, I'm pretty sure!

Happy belated Birthday, so glad you feel supported by those around you. I think taking pictures at the same spot from 2015 is a fantastic idea and not obsessive at all!

It's definitely a new favorite! The few times we have went out, it's been grilled chicken or salmon.

This place had so many protein options, and they were super sweet about modifying something for us!

My Sunday sounds similar to yours, Liz! Laundry, doing my taxes (ugh), paying bills, all that super-fun adulting stuff!! lol I really need to go to Hellmart (umm...Walmart) today but anyone who goes near that place on Super Bowl Sunday is a nutcase, so will wait until after work tomorrow!

QOTD: I haven't had a party or carry-in where I needed to bring something yet. There was a Christmas dinner planned at work, but it got cancelled because so many people were sick. My planned go-to dish, though is Fauxtato Salad (made with cauliflower). I figure it's something a lot of people will enjoy, and if there is nothing else I can eat that! (Being keto makes it a little harder to eat at a carry in dinner, there are always so many carby casseroles and stuff--people sure do love their potatoes!). I am branching out and trying new keto recipes, though, so I hope to find more that I think will be enjoyed by a wide range of people.

B: Yogurt, peanut butter and Fiber One cereal, coffee w/cream and Xylitol

L: Tuna w/mayo, cheese sticks, zucchini slices

D: Chicken and broccoli alfredo

Water and vites on track
