Happy Friday! I'm off for three whole days in a row and it feels amazing already. Been a crazy week of hard work.

QOTD: To relax, I play video games and lots of them. I want to buy a bike to dawdle around my neighborhood on as well. Other than that, once a month I get a pedicure, and I love it.

It's going to be a blah day for eating since I have a lot of errands today and not a lot of time.

Breakfast - Coffee with half of a premier protein vanilla shake as creamer

Lunch - Premier Protein bar (I hope it tastes good, we'll see...)

Dinner - Chicken taco

Snack - Fage Total 2% Greek Yogurt

Today I am going to complete a couple of small projects I've been working on. Then mom and I will watch a show, get up and do something, watch a show, rinse and repeat. A nice quiet day.

QOTD: My old re-charge was to sleep. I could sleep for 48 hours and quite often wasted the weekend that way. Now, I don't sleep more than 6-8 hours a day. I also used to sleep in till noon or so on my days off. Now, I'm frequently up at 5-6 am voluntarily. So now, to recharge, I crochet. I'll sit with my family at night while they watch some dribble on tv and half watch while I work on my most recent project.

M1: Coffee, PP caramel, miralax

M2: Frittata with turkey sausage, eggs and cheese

M3: LO American pork fried rice

M4: TBD - Cleaning out the fridge

E: Nothing planned.

Water/Vits: On track

Good morning! Your first foster dog, yea Liz! He might be a bit nervous, but boy is he going to have a great home for the next month or so! I wonder if you will fall in love and keep him?? Either way, you and DH are doing a wonderful thing!

Not much planned for the day, we are supposed to be getting a snow storm this afternoon(nothing like back East is getting) I don't think today will be a casino day for mom due to the roads.

B-Greek yogurt w/2tsp SF pudding mix and walnuts

L-leftover roast beef and string cheese

S-Chai tea w/vanilla PP shake

D-Salmon salad

E-Walk the dog before storm hits

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

I'm 9 years post op. I always liked these threads when I was here daily before surgery, so here's mine.

Pre-breakfast: Coffee with heavy whipping cream & liquid sucralose

Breakfast: Leftover grilled chicken breast from KFC (so good)

Lunch: More coffee, eggroll in a bowl (stir fried pork & cabbage w/asian seasoning)

Dinner: Sonic bacon cheeseburger with with pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion - NO bun

Snack: 1/2 of a Lily's salted caramel chocolate bar

Full disclosure: I initially lost 138 lbs with VSG, but after having two kids and lots of Starbucks, my weight crept back up by 24 lbs. I had to put a stop to that! Plus I still want to lose about 50 more so I'm doing a ketogenic (low carb/high fat/moderate protein) way of eating now. I definitely still have restriction, but not as much as the first several years. Since starting keto I've lost the weight I gained back (24 lbs) but I still have more to go.

I have heard that after 5-7 years, the restriction feeling is less and that the stomach has relaxed a little. I know they remove the part that really stretches, but I suppose, with time, the restriction increases by a few ounces.

Thanks for joining us! I love to see people who are SEVERAL years out. You've still lost well over 100 pounds from your starting weight, so I would STILL count that as a success! Don't be too hard on yourself; I think it's great that you returned to the site in order to lose some more weight and stay accountable.

That being said, I noticed that you're having fast food twice today. Has that become more of a habit or do you usually cook your own meals? I've noticed, even just in the past month, that now that I can eat more (a whole 3-4 OUNCES, haha!) it's harder to turn down outings, even when I know the food at the restaurant is not nearly as good for me.

:-)

I didn't notice I was having fast food twice today! That's definitely unusual. My husband worked late last night so I got the grilled KFC and had the leftovers today because grilled KFC is awesome. Then on Fridays we usually have a "treat" - he gets sushi, I get a bunless burger. I'd love some low-carb sushi, but I have yet to figure that one out. Since I've been on keto I definitely eat/cook at home more just so I can keep a close eye on the carbs. I don't mind going out to eat, fast food or otherwise, as long as I really know what I'm eating (as far as macros). And I definitely consider the weight loss since surgery a success! I don't think I'd have been able to have my kids without it.

Welcome back! I spent so many years going up and down with my weight pre-VSG that I feel like the support here is critical to long-term success for me. And it's a great group of people!

Good morning! I am so happy it's FRIDAY! I'm going to Jackson tomorrow night for a championship basketball tournament, so that's exciting. I cannot wait until Spring Break. We may or may not go to the mountains; however, I am REALLY needing the break!

QOTD: Well, I used to have a drink and a snack. To be completely honest, that's exactly what I would do. However, I've always been a voracious reader; I read at least a book a week. I can sit down and read a book in a few hours, and it's relaxing as well. I am the sponsor of our student-run book club and I belong to an adult book club that meets monthly. I would love to get a monthly massage or mani/pedi, but we really just cannot afford it. Maybe one day!

B: Sausage patty from the school cafeteria, coffee with skim

L: 2.5 ounces of shredded chicken, 7 baked tortilla chips, 3 ounces of Greek Yogurt

D: Unsure! We may go out. If so, I'll probably get chicken fajitas without tortillas!

Snacks: None yet...I may have a protein bar or an orange and some cheese
