Good morning, all! I'm finally starting to feel mostly better - I hope. I thought I was doing better on Friday but then felt miserable by the end of the day. If I'm still feeling cruddy on Tuesday, I'll take myself to Urgent Care. I'm heading to Boston on Friday and need to be well by then!

No big plans here for today. I've got school work to do for next week, since I don't want to have to do work while I'm in Boston. Then it's normal house stuff to get the house sorted out for the week. It's still a bit of a cluttered mess leftover from vacation+training+sick!

QOTD: What is one of your favorite smells? (I'll answer in a comment.)

1: protein shake
2: probably soup
3: Coffee-Crusted Beef Tenderloin; Easy Baked Garlic Mushrooms

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: home PT exercises for neck

How about you? What's life like today?

QOTD: I've always loved fruity/foodie smells over floral ones, and my ultimate favorite is peach. It was a sad day for me when The Body Shop discontinued their Fuzzy Peach scent. (Not that I even wear perfume, but I always had a bottle for special occasions.)

Good morning all! I slept in a bit since I stayed up too late watching a show on netflix called My Runway. Today will be a fairly lazy day other than the gym. Don't really want to sit around the house and do nothing all day, but it is also supposed to be really hot. We're under a heat advisory until tonight, so doing much outside will be miserable. I did get up to water all the gardens before the heat really sets in. There are baby green tomatoes coming on and jalapenos starting. Am excited to see them produce a lot! I planted so much, but I know I'll never be able to eat them up. Good thing I have neighbors and friends to share with!

QOTD: Lilac is one of my favorite smells. We have two large lilac bushes and when they are in full bloom and my windows are open the smell comes right through on the breeze. I also really love the smell of warm cinnamon.

I just read this after I posted! My favorite is lilacs too! I wish they bloomed for much, much longer.

Me too, they're beautiful. Other than hydrangeas they are my favorite flowering bush. I have a white and purple lilac. The purple was planted well before I was born and is taller than the front windows by far. It's funny, they are planted right beside each other, the white one which is only about 7 or 8 years old has started turning. The half closest to the purple is purple, while the other half is white. It's the craziest thing!

Good morning from MD! We came up here on Friday night and what a nightmare traffic was. What should have been a 4.5-hour drive took us over 6. There was an accident that closed by directions of I-85 for several miles and we took a 17 mile, 90-minute detour.

Yesterday we went to the Chesapeake Bay to swim/lounge and the whole group of adults did a timed 1-mile run (what is this life, and these things I do for fun?!). I did a sub 10-minute mile for the first time ever! 9:48! Today I did 3.2 miles first thing this morning, a core work out, and then we're going to do a 60-minute yoga class at a vineyard that comes with a glass of wine after. We're going out for crabs for dinner (I typed that as carbs at first, hahaha).

QOTD: Any citrus smell is my favorite. I like other food smells but they trigger hunger (vanilla, cinnamon, coffee, etc) so I avoid them in things like candles.

Hi all, still battling the thigh lift portion of my plastics. I am eating a lot of protein (120g+ a day) and eating a lot of calories, but I'm losing weight. Down to 155.4 with all my compression stuff and a night shirt on and with swelling. I was 168 the morning of surgery and had 11.1 pounds of tissue removed. I've even added peanut butter sandwiches and still am dropping. Healing takes a lot of calories!

QOTD: I have two. Playdough is one of my favorite scents leftover from childhood. It calms me so much I used to keep a little can in my desk at work to smell when I was really stressed. The other is orange blossoms. Nothing better!

B - yogurt with berries and grain free granola, protein shake

L - peanut butter aNd jelly sandwich

D - chicken soup

s - protein shake, yogurt, nuts

Yes! Our bodies use those calories to repair tissue so definitely eat eat eat (seems so weird to say) want to make sure you heal up well so everything can return to normal for you.

I noticed that someone else said orange blossoms, I love that scent. I grew up in California near the orange groves and the scent would be in the air. The same scent would make my Dad almost sick, but he had to pick them years before and I guess it just reminded him of hard work. But I always loved it.
