I'm up super early this morning since I need to get 7 miles in before 9:30 due to an appointment with my psychiatrist. Fun times!

QOTD: How much impact does the weather have on your mood? (Inspired by the fact that it feels like it's been raining here for weeks now.)

1: some number of Clif Bloks (probably 3-4)
2: protein shake
3: leftover Indian? ****ep eating something else for lunch.)
4: beef bulgogi

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: running (7 miles planned), yoga (30 min intermediate stretches for runners)

How about you?

Good morning! I remember those days of running when I was younger. I always enjoyed the running a lot, but not getting out early to get it done!

We have muggy, muggy, muggy weather again. Thank goodness for central air. I was never a fan of it in the past, but there would be no sleep if I didn't have AC these days (plus it gets so humid on Cape Cod that mold can become a big issue in the house without it).

QOTD: Weather (and light) has a HUGE impact on my mood. I could never live where it typically rains a lot. I feel much happier and optimistic when the sun is out and especially if the day is relatively long. Warmth makes me happy too. Though I don't like extreme heat and humidity, I'd take that over rainy anytime. I do actually love watching the snow fall, but not the aftermath (hence Florida in winter for us now).

2 Years, 4 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 20 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Grilled chicken

S: Siggis yogurt

Good morning. I have absolutely nothing planned for today- except working (at home). I am hoping to catch up and be in good shape to take a 2 week vacation later this month. I can't remember the last time i took off two consecutive weeks. We are taking the new RV to the forest and I plan to read books, eat fresh vegetables and do nothing.

QOTD: I don't think the bad weather affects me, but good weather certainly makes me happy. I feel like we rarely have a beautiful day. Why can't it just be nice out???? It's either too cold, too hot or too humid. I don't live too far from Liz - and it is gross here. Dew point in the 70s - and just too muggy. This weather is not good for the Frenchies either. They need to be in a/c and can't really walk as it's too much for them (especially my Reggie).

B: small bowl of cheerios that I shared with the dog, lol

L: leftover fajitas

D: watched "the kitchen" this morning and they made burgers...now i want a burger

L/V: good

E: ? iffy

I think you have a perfect plan for vacation: "read books, eat fresh vegetables and do nothing".

I can't take our 17 year old chihuahua out in this humidity (the young one is fine and does better than us). The older one fainted the last time I took her out in heat/humidity.

Good morning,

I have to be to work at 9 am and today is pajama day there. It feels weird to wear them to work. They had fired two people this week for coming in high to work.

Qotd the weather does affect my mood especially too many dreary, cloudy and darkness days.

B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and pork and beans

L tuna, cottage cheese and baby carrots

D meatloaf, corn on the cob and grapes.

Have a good day

Hi All

Still tired today, my upper chest and mainly upper back or between my shoulder blades ache, just ache again today! I am increasing my water and protein to see if that helps, I read those things or that I may not be getting enough calories now that I'm at 5 weeks but to be honest I have no idea what the right amount of calories should be for this stage?

QOTD: How much impact does the weather have on your mood? Well, I do not like the year round weather here in Florida but then again I'm not one for upper OR or WA states either, too much rain! I do love a light rain though and I love the snow but I can't live in that cold now... I guess the weather that impacts me the most is heavy rain with super wind it very much stresses me out and that might be because I have lived most of my life by an ocean (Pacific and now Atlantic) and those storms can be killers!

Water, water, water!

M1: Protein Powder in V8 Tropical Blend (this is a ½ shake)

M2: Equate Chocolate HP Protein Shake, Coffee (another ½ shake)

M3: leftover Baked Boneless Chicken with Tri Color Coleslaw mix and fresh Pineapple (Stir Fry)

M4: 2 oz. Chicken breast in LS Chicken broth.

M5: 2 oz. Chicken breast in LS Chicken broth.

M6: Maybe ½ serving of Good Culture - Low-fat Cottage Cheese

5' 2". 60-year-old (at time of surgery)

At 5 weeks out I was eating 400 calories on average. That doesn't mean that everyone is at that point, but I was still following my surgeons transition plan for eating and that's where my calories were ending up.

My plan never cared about calories, just meeting my protein and liquid goals. (And then not eating more just because I wanted to.) Are you taking vitamins? Which ones?

Of course, my plan is also three meals a day and no snacks.

Hi Gwen, my plan does NOT count calories either, we count liquid and protein, carbs and in my case sodium. It is hard for me to get down even 2 oz. at a meal, so for now they want me to have 5/6 mini meals. We'd like to get me off the liquid protein shakes or get them reduced which I am doing pretty good on now AND I can almost get down 3 oz. food at least once or twice a day. MFP counts calories and I think I need to find a different method to track because the old diet-pro in me watches those a bit much, I am now running 400-500 calories a day.

I take per my surgical team, (along with my prescriptions) these OTC

OptiSource Post Bariatric Surgery chewable vitamin/mineral supplements (4 daily)

Calcium 600 (600mg) + D3 (800 IU) 3 daily

B-12 (1000 mcg) once daily

Aspirin 81 mg twice daily

After my Endoscopy mid Aug. I'll be starting Biotin 10,000 mcg.

How much protein are you getting? And how much liquid?
