Pain, discomfort & just feel crappy

I?m 2+ months post op, almost 3, and although there has been minor discomfort off & on, I actually started feeling better. That is, until last Friday, I had some horrible pain, discomfort bloating, even vomiting, even when my stomach was empty.. After about 24 hours, it calmed down, but is still coming and going. I?m keeping food down, but only eat very small portions, and am doing my best to keep up on fluids. Anyone else have anything like this happen ? I?m in a very remote, rural area, my surgeon is about 200 miles away, so a trip to his office is an undertaking. Any suggestions or advice ? Or should I just call the surgeon? Thanks in advance ?

Its hard to say. Just remember, it could be a run of the mill stomach bug, the flu, or many ordinary issue. If you're in doubt, see a doctor.

Maybe you have a stomach bug. And yes, def call your doctor.

And when you call your surgeon, remind him or her about how far away you live. If some tests are needed, or the surgeon wants you to have some treatment such as IV fluids, you may be able to get that locally and have the results sent to him. Don't be shy about asking.

I hope that it wasn't anything serious and that you're feeling better today.
