Surgery today, 10/22
Hi everyone! Thanks for the support!! I had my surgery at 7:30 this morning. I'm feeling really great at the moment. I was super nervous because I am allergic to 98% of all opioids. So the surgery went very smoothly...but I'm currently just taking Tylenol for pain... so I'm a bit uncomfortable. Not a ton of gas pain yet, but I followed all of your advise here, as well as the hospital staff ?and I've been walking as much as I can!! The recovery room nurse said that as soon as I woke up, I asked to take a walk! Lol no recollection of that one! Thanks for all of your support!! I'm hoping I'll get to go home tomorrow!
how did my surgery twins do today?
Thanks for asking :) I feel great in every way except for the pain above my one large incision. I talked with my surgeon twice now about it, he assured me it's just the "u-suture" holding together the large incision. He says it should dissolve and feel better in time. I'm trusting him... but it is unbearable to stand for lengths of time. I'm trying to walk around as much as possible. Laying down or sitting in an arm chair are best!
I have my follow up on Wednesday, so hopefully I'll feel better by then!
Hey there I had my surgery on the same day you did so I guess that makes us surgery twins. I'm actually on my way home I got discharged from the hospital and everything went smoothly. I too am only taking Tylenol and it seems to be doing well, but I did have some nausea when I first came out of anesthesia
