Topic: RE: How much do you <3 your sleeve????

I love mine dearly.. I have lost 122 pounds and still losing slower now, but my advise DO EVERTHING your doctor/NUT tells you dont cheat no matter how bad you think you need something..learn what true hunger is opposed to HEAD hunger...

Watch the carbs once they are gone you will never miss them! :O)

Topic: RE: My one year Surgiversary 12.12.12

It came and went and I am 122 pounds lighter.. I am currently a size 16 and wearing a size large in some things... I weigh 197 pounds currently. I am so happy and will be happier once I get down between 150 and 175 :O)

VSG is the best thing I have ever done, so grateful

Topic: RE: Why does bread hurt?
Bread really bothers me and I just stay away from it....freshly post op when I was on soft food, I would toast a peice and cut it in half to have something to put my egg salad on.. I dont like the way UN toasted bread felt in my stomach....but  now so far out I just dont eat it..it is weird I thought (pre-surgery) how do people not eat bread? and now I am one of those people who dont eat bread :O)
Topic: RE: Surgeon says "your weight loss slowed down already"
Hijacking this post to talk to HWAG5149... your stats are looking great... My last month was my worst month every only like 5 pounds loss.... I am at 205 this am for a total of 114 lost.. I am detoxing off of the iced coffee as it was extra calories and I think that is why I only lost 5 pounds last month.. so this month is better so far.. miss talking to you hope things are going good for u
Topic: RE: Around 300lbs, how much did you lose?

My surgery was 12.12.11 and I am down to 207 currently..last month I only lost 5 pounds (worst month ever) BUT I am increased my calories drinking the DAMNED iced coffee so I am detoxing myself off of caffeine and the iced coffee.. my cals are still around 1000.. and 400 coming from liquids...big no no
Topic: RE: still loving my sleeve (grateful post)
I am not on here as much as since i am down 110 pounds i am more active, starting running, working extra shifts, going more places... I started at 319 and am down to 209 and i am so happy and excited to be soooo close to the 100's. I was just lying in the bed thinking how lucky I am and how grateful I am to all the VETS that post and advise everyone.. this journey has been great and I am getting so close to my goal I am striving for 150-160..
Thanks and for those of you on the fence about surgery this is the best thing I have ever done and dont regret a thing!

Topic: RE: Best Iced-Coffee Drinks for your Waistline
I have been playing around with iced coffee recipes as it is my new obsession..lol

I take instant coffee add ho****er..dissolve... I use 1/4 cup to 1/2 of a cup of almond milk, add splenda, sugar free vanilla syrup and sometimes some sugar free vanillla creamer and fill the rest of the cup up with water and pour all over ice...turns out pretty good...I dont have exact measurements except for the almond milk I just eyeball it...hits less in the wallet as I drink a store bought everyday on the way to work, so this helps on my off days

1 ounce of cheese and some almonds

Topic: RE: Help advice from mothers and way off topic
I am going to do that I like that she can have a choice, and learn to make a healthy choice, gona deicate on drawer to her for her "OWN" I think that will hopefully enable her and help her embrace her good choices.
Topic: RE: Help advice from mothers and way off topic
Carmalite...I am not quite sure that I understand what you mean by projecting... and as I stated the little junk that I do buy is for my lean and athletic boys who do not have a weight issue they eat healty and resonably and when they want a treat I do not deny them as they do not over indulge..
I was looking for some good advise from mothers whom have dealt with this....
AND as far as my issues go, not sure where you see any of my underlieing issues..but to each their own opinion...AND yes I am trying to fix her issues!

Thanks ladies for the tips and comments and yes I think I need help fixing her as I know I cant do alone
Topic: RE: Ready made protein drinks?
I started with Premier as after surgery they were the only thing I could tolerate.. I could not do ANY powders..tried a bunch! The premier is good dont get me wrong, but they left my mouth really dry and I tried the GNC Total Lean and their Swiss chocolate is my fav, I stock up for the month during Gold Card week and that helps as they are a little more costly than the others..but sooo yummy and no aftertaste
