Thank you! Definitely don't follow my example when it comes to exercise - I was pretty consistent about strength training and would do lunges, squats, bicep and tricep curls in my living room with 8 lb weights and then 12 lbs for the first 7 months...I absolutely detest the gym, so I rarely do cardio unless it's walking. About 5 weeks ago I started taking barre classes, which I love and have been doing those 3-4 times a week. The class helps to make you long and lean as opposed to traditional strength, which can make some people look bulky.

Hi Everyone! I'm a few days late with my 9 month update, but I have a good excuse...I was in Vegas for a Girl's trip and the WLSFA conference. I started my journey with my highest recorded weight of 290.1 lbs and weighed 280.8 lbs on the day of surgery. On Monday, May 20th, I weighed in at 159.2 lbs (finally got under the 160 lb mark). I've lost 130.9 lbs from my highest weight and 121.6 lbs since surgery. I've gone from a size 22 to a size 8 (sometimes a size 6). I love dresses now and can't find enough reasons to wear them. I have 9.2 lbs until I reach goal and then I'll evaluate where I want to go. If you are on the fence about surgery - DO IT!!!! It is the best thing I've ever done - it's not easy and it's not magic, but it's worth it!
Now for the pictures - here are monthly comparison pictures and a few pictures from Vegas! Happy Sleeving!!!!
If you are feeling uncomfortable at all - you need to find a new surgeon. I switched surgeons in the middle of the process for the same reasons you described above and can't tell you how happy I am that I did.
I'll be there - I just bought my ticket for the events. I'm not sure where I'm staying yet, I have a few friends and my grandfather in Anaheim, but if I end up needing a hotel room I'm definitely in for sharing and keeping costs down!
