Was just told thursday that my sleeve was strectched grossly! per a upper GI that I had done the prior week. I have thought lately in the last 6 months that I could eat a little more than normal but still i'm only eating as much as my 8 year daughter eats. Like a half sandwhich or 2oz chicken breast with 3-4 pieces of veggies. I exercise 5 days per week religiously! I just feel like i'm eating a lot more than the first year from surgery.
I followed up with a different bariatric surgeon b/c I have moved and i guess I was a little stupid to do this b/c I followed up with a surgeon that I had originally chosen to do my Sleeve back about 18 months ago but the office pissed me off telling me I had to wait another 6 months for insurance approval.
I went to a doctor in Long Island and he did the surgery with insurance approval in 30 days.. Well I had no idea that when I had the Upper GI done that the results were going to be that my Sleeve was significantly larger than what it should be at 18 months out???? I'm not sure if the surgeon was biased b/c he was pissed that I didn't do the surgery at his center or what... ? I followed up with a phone call to my original surgeon and he wants to see films from the current Upper Gi and he is going to compare them to the upper gi that I did the day after surgery to see if it's significantly larger or not..
I'm am just writing to see if anyone else has been diagnosed with stretching there sleeve? and if so What was done about it? my surgeon told me he wants to look at the films and then it is possible to have a revision done! OMG another surgery!
