Thank you, I really appreciate the info and hope it helps others.

Topic: RE: pressure?
Have you tried gas meds? Also, if you feel like it is hard to breathe along with the chest pains you need to go to the ER. Heart Attacks are crazy scary and often times feel like pressure/trouble breathing.

Topic: RE: Week 5 and able to eat bread, rice and other starches
I had surgery 2 days after you and wanted to answer your question about capacity. I am still in the full liquids/ mushy stage and can eat about 3/4 of a scrambled egg. The only carb I have tried so far is stuffing. I am practicing my recipe for Thanksgiving and had about 1 oz (3 teaspoons) full of it and was so stuffed I felt sick.

I hope this helps.

Topic: RE: how do you mix it
Yep, it makes fewer dirty dishes and is super fast and easy for when I am "on the go" every morning. The actual mixer part unscrews from the top and you screw in the thermos lid and go. Super easy and no messy blender/mixer to clean. It is also really good about getting the chunky ice mixed in super well. It is a life saver for me. It is also dishwasher and microwave safe.

Topic: RE: how do you mix it
My shaker bottle from GNC doesn't get all of the "grit" out of the protein. I use a one from walmart and is a mixer with a bottle and actually mixes it right in the bottle so you can measure your ounces. It is a lifesaver and was only $29.

The only shake I can stand is a Peanut Butter, Banana, skim milk and Unjury Protein Powder (Choc or Unflavored).

I mix 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 inch banana, 1 tbls peanut butter & protein powder in my blender. I usually mix this liquid part for about 1 minute to get it all blended up pretty well. I then add ice cubes until I get to the desired thickness. I end up with around a 8-12 oz shake and it is super yummy.

Here is a pic of the blender by oster for $29. I use it for EVERYTHING from making pureeds, to shakes and mushies. I also use it to chop, dice and blend for homeade salsas. I also bought an extra bottle for it also in case one was in the dishwasher.

Topic: RE: Pics - 1 Month Post Op - Can You See a Difference?
It looks like our surgery dates are pretty close together. I am still on the full liquids stage but sneak in some very mushy mushies. A sample day is below. I hope you find this helpful.

B: Unjury Protein Shake - Choc Splendor
S: 1/2 Isopure Apple Melon Protein Drink
L: 8 oz Wonton Soup Broth (I usually add 8 oz of water and drink it)
S: 1/2 Isopure Grape Frost Protein Drink
D: 1/2 cup Tortilla Soup Broth (crumble 2 crackers in it)

I try not to go over 600 calories in a day, exercise at least 20 minutes (walking), drink over 64 oz fluids and get at least 60 grams of protein. I don't alway**** all of the goals but try my hardest.

Thanks everyone! I have noticed it mainly in my stomach and the insides of my thighs. I did take measurements and it appears my bust is down by quite a bit but I haven't noticed. I hope it doesn't plan to shrink more . It is all happening so quickly but on the flip side it seems my scale hasn't moved in ages..so strange. I guess it is the stall messing with my head!

I am 4 weeks post op on Thursday and took some in progress pics (sorry for the crap quality) today. Can you see a difference? I can sure feel a difference. I went on a 3 mile hike with my kiddos this weekend and it was wonderful!

The first 4 weeks have been super hard and of course the dreaded 3 week stall was a motivation killer but I am super excited to see what happens for the rest of my journey. I love you guys!

Topic: RE: OMG - I Love This Website - My Body Gallery
Has anyone visited the My Body Gallery website? You can type in your height, goal size or goal weight and body type to see pictures of actual people with those same stats. This helped me tremendously to figure out my goal weight. It is so very neat and addictive!!

I also put in my current stats to see how others looked at my current size/weight. Sometimes when I look in the mirror I don't truly see what my body looks like. I always see the "fatter" version of me.

Also, another fun thing I did was look at my height/body type at every 10lb weight increment to see when I might expect to go down in a pant size (can you tell I am addicted..haha)!!!

Let me know your thoughts on the website and if you like it!

Topic: RE: Your Restriction - 4 Weeks Post Op

What was your restriction like 4 weeks post op? I am worried I don't have the restriction I should. I can drink 8 oz of wonton soup (broth only) in 10-15 minutes. I can also eat 3/4 of a scrambled egg with a little shredded cheese & salsa at one sitting. Does this sound normal or should I be worried?

Topic: RE: Not surviving the mushies...help
Are you taking a PPI? I take the prevacid solutab and it helps so much with the pressure feeling I get from drinking liquids or eating thicker soups etc. I am on week 4 and am doing fine with scrambled eggs and thicker soups but if I miss my PPI then I get the pressure feeling you are describing.

Just My Opinion - Get a  consult with a WLS surgeon about your heart condition but I don't think it will prevent you from having surgery.

I am 4 weeks out and had my first beer/alcohol in 5 months (I never drink - even pre op). I could only drink 5 oz and was very satisfied with that. I stayed under my calorie goal for the day and also was able to get in 20 additional grams of protein that day. It sat very well on my tummy.

Topic: RE: anyone here used the Nicholson Clinic in Plano TX?
I used Dr. Cribbins in Plano Texas (in same practice as Dr. Hamm). He was great but don't choose Baylor Frisco for your surgery. The nurses aren't very nice and I had a horrible experience there.

Yay! I am so glad so many of you found it helpful. I have it posted on my cabinet door (inside). I took over a small cabinet (upper) beside the stove. Removing my food from the pantry really helps me stay on track and stay away from the kids yummy snacks!

I would like to see what vitamins everyone is taking. I currently take the below but am sure I am not getting everything I should.

Flinstones (2 - don't laugh at me!)
B12 (one per week)
Biotoin

What else should I be taking?
