Doesn't it feel good to clear your desk?!?!?!  Right now we're in a little lull, but usually that is just the calm before the store so I am making sure I have worked well ahead.  Here is my food from Thursday:

    B:  1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese, 14 almonds, 5 prunes
Starbucks iced venti sugar free vanilla 2% latte
    1.5 x 16.9 oz water
L: 2 slices protein bread, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp sugar free apricot jam, 1 banana
    2.5 x 16.9 oz water
S: Starbucks 1.5 tall iced sugar free vanilla 2% latte
D:  5 oz tuna, 1tbsp mayo, sugar free bread and butter pickles, 21 sea salt soy crisps

    1317 calories, 50.5 fat, 113 carbs, 88 protein

Went to my bariatric support group last night and got honest about my struggle.  Was a little ashsamed at first but felt good about it after.  The reality is the surgery is not an end all.  I do have to work it.  When I stop doing the things that work, the tool stops working.  I also got a call from a man that I used to go to OA with.  He knew I had surgery and wanted to know how it went.  He got his wife on the phone too and I was very honest with him.  The two of them and I are going to have coffee together next weekend so we can talk some more.  I told themabout this website, the men's forum and to lookd at all the surgery options.  It feels good to pay it forward so to speak.  Onward to Friday (today :) )

It's really good to be in support..really good to GIVE support and really good to get it. That's exactly why I came here and why I stay here..I stay accountable to myself and to everyone else.

You did  good. That protein number is getting closer to the carb number..pretty soon they'll cross. But even without that..the carbs you're eating are really good. meh, bananas are a bit high but they aren't bad carbs..You are really getting with the program..NICE>

Keep up the good work. See ya.

It was a very productive day for me - 12 hrs at the office & i accomplished alot. I was very happy about that. I took my vits - had some great eats. Got my 2nd wind on the way home (about 8:30pm) - felt great when i got home. Started watching Grays Anatomy & had a complete mental breakdown b/c it totally brought back images of my moms death. Its been 7 years since that day & i was on the floor SOBBING ... WHALING just like it was that day in the hospital. I thought i was being quiet but apparently not since i woke up my son & totally couldnt "hide" the fact that i was breaking down. When i was done i just gave up & went to bed. I feel a little better this morning - my head kinda hurts but thats understandable since my BP was probably up so high last night. Im sure i'll feel better as the day goes on.

    My "eats" -
    Breakfast:
    coffee coffee coffee (seriously - like 36 - 40oz worth by 10am) w/ 2 scoops of protein
    6oz FF greek yogurt

    Lunch:
1c spinach & egg salad (w/ a few pieces of mushrooms, red onion, 10 croutons & oil & basalmic)
    36oz CL
    12oz beef broth

    Snack:
8oz protein shake (w/ milk, protein powder & FF greek yogurt)
    20oz CL

    Dinner:
    2 eggs (fried)
    16oz pinot grigio

    totals:
    Cals: 1389 (damn that wine)
    Fat: 28.6
    Protein: 95.9
