Monday..if it wasn't for coffee and caffeine, mondays would be a total wash! Physical Therapy today too..

    My eats today:

5:30 am 12 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss

6:00 am 1/4 protein waffles, small pear and sf pancake syrup

6:45 am double espresso latte, frothed soy milk and splenda

7:00 am 24 oz herb tea, Lipton Vanilla Caramel

9:15 am the second half of an egg burrito from this weekend - it took me quite a long time to fini****!

10:00 am 24 oz drink mix with ice, GV Energy Strawberry Caffeinated

10:30 am 24 oz drink mix with the rest of the ice, Hawaiian Punch Orange..this bottle gets thrown away when I'm done cuz this thing LEAKS! all over my desk with orange stuff..what a mess!

12:00 pm 12 oz decaf with splenda and half n half..

1:15 pm 1/2 serving of tuna casserole on 1 cup of cooked cabbage

2:15 pm 24 oz drink mix with ice, Wyler's Peach Tea

4:30 pm 1 hard boiled egg

Dinner: low carb chicken casserole..better than the tuna casserole! I think the tuna casserole is a fail but the chicken one . Win Win.

    totals for the day:
    Calories: 1393
    Fat: 78.5
    Carbs: 96.2
    Protein: 83.9

Looking down the list of foods, the carbs are from the pear (good carb), the burrito (not so good carbs), the tuna casserole (good carbs)..so even though the number is big, the carbs are good for the most part so that wins. I'm happy with that list and those numbers.

    How did you do?

After reading all these last few days, it seems to me you're succumbing to the carb monster late in the day..after doing good all day long. If you could stop at just one slice, you might have gotten away with it. But it seems to me that that toast is good for something..maybe to calm you down for sleep..carb coma thing? Just a thought. I hear that damn carb monster in the evenings too. So long as I don't eat something like that right before I lay down (the acid reflux thing just kills me at night if I eat too close to bed).

Maybe some more thinking about it..find a carby treat that is either high in fiber or paired with protein..sometimes when the carbs are just too much for me to have to listen to..I eat a 100 calorie pack of kettle corn microwave popcorn..only 100 calories and enough whitish carbs that it makes me feel like I've cheated but not really..

I agree - the feel the need for carbs late in the day - IDK what is it - but i just cant get away from it.
I find comfort/justification in that its not as many carbs as i would normally have & have greatly reduced my total carb intake.
