It is so important to work on the addiction issues surrounding being obese because after surgery we are at a high risk to switch addictions (ie. alcohol/drugs, shopping, exercies etc.)

 I'm a recovering alcoholic although I struggled mostly with pain pills which only came up after surgery.  I tell all my friends who have WLS what happened to me and quite a few of them have caught it early, ie. coming down with kidney stones and liking the Percocet a little too much etc.  All we can do is pass the word.
