My daughter got sleeved 5 years ago and now has to had to get iron infusions.  She also did not lose a lot of weight, and what she did lose she has gained half back.

I had my surgery RNY in 2005 and have had to have iron transfusions and blood transfusions. I also gained 70 lbs of the 205 I originally lost. I was told by my family doctor to go back to RNY doctor. So next Monday I have a visit with him. I am dreading it to be honest. I also have joint pain and low calcium. I hope your daughter gets to find out what's causing her problem.

Anyone can become anemic. I know "normal" woman who don't eat a lot of red meat, and they do not supplement that are anemic.

After infusions - she probably needs to start supplementing a lot...
