i get so confuzzled about the weight charts
the 3 columns for small, medium, and large frames
i chose the large frame cuz i rem when i was at 140 i was thinnnnnnnnnn, but how do u choose which column is right for you ? do you chug along and wait till u get closer to see how you look? i also heard of measuring your wrist, but not sure how that goes ill be waiting for feedback

I have no idea.  I always thought I had a large frame, but now I am thinking I might be small.  I have always had small hands/wrists and ankles, but my hips and shoulders seemed wider.  However, now that I am losing the fat...it seems my bones are all smaller.  Does that make any sense?

My doc said he could tell by the size of my hands and wrist that I am meant to be a small frame person. I was always petite in high school. (but I thought I was fat then) The mind sure plays tricks on us doesn't it. I wear a size 41/2 ring. My wedding rings are swimming on me now. He also said I was short and have tiny feet. Not sure if this helps.

The test you can do on yourself is to wrap your thumb and fingers around your opposite wrist.  If the fingers overlap, you are a small frame.  If they barely touch, you are medium.  If they do not touch, you are large,

I always thought I was large framed because I was fat.  I said that to Dr's and they shook their heads.  Now I've lost the fat and I realized I'm a small frame.  My fingers overlap my wrist... and I can wear small and extra small clothes - befuddles me like you wouldn't believe!  My rings are in the 3's....

I was in a Talbots store today and there was a lady looking at the size 2 petites - and so was I . I looked at her and thought "she's smaller than me"...  but we were looking at the same size - my mind hasn't caught up - YET!!!

No real words of wisdom for you - just wanted to let you know it takes awhile to figure it out...

Medium to large frame here...fingers barely touch when I wrap them around my wrist and my hands are big across the knuckles. I can't even get circle bracelets and bangles over my knuckles my hand is so wide.

Large frame here...the one place I have very little excess is my wrists and I can't get my fingers to touch. Of course, having short fingers plays a part in that so that is not accurate. You have to actually measure with a tape measure.

Calculating body frame size

Calculating body frame size

Body frame size is determined by a person's wrist circumference in relation to his height. For example, a man whose height is over 5' 5" and wrist is 6" would fall into the small-boned category.

Determining frame size: To determine the body frame size, measure the wrist with a tape measure and use the following chart to determine whether the person is small, medium, or large boned.

Women:Height under 5'2" Small = wrist size less than 5.5"Medium = wrist size 5.5" to 5.75"Large = wrist size over 5.75"

Height 5'2" to 5' 5" Small = wrist size less than 6"Medium = wrist size 6" to 6.25"Large = wrist size over 6.25"

Height over 5' 5" Small = wrist size less than 6.25"Medium = wrist size 6.25" to 6.5"Large = wrist size over 6.5"

Men:Height over 5' 5" Small = wrist size 5.5" to 6.5"Medium = wrist size 6.5" to 7.5"Large = wrist size over 7.5"

Yeap, I measured, I am a large frame, my dh is a medium one.

thank you liz
my wrist is exactly 7 inches so i have a large frame i measured DH too he has a 7 inch wrist as well
so the measuring ur wrist with ur fingers does not work cuz i can touch all the way around fine so i believe this is more accurate

My wrist is 5 3/4" - and I'm 5'3" (grew a 1/2" since surgery!),  So it looks like I'm a small frame...

I measured my wrist (but only have meter) and it was 15cm which is 6.29 inches.
I am 152cm/5ft.
Now what "should" I weigh?

Way back before my 1st WLS I weighed 120K.
Revision I went in weighing 104K.
Now I weigh 80-82K.
