First time because I needed a letter from my primary DR. some type of letter from a second dr. letter of neccessity I think thats what they called it. Second time i'm still waiting on a letter in the mail the insurance lady told me she couldn't tell me over the phone only that I was denied AGAIN. She said my Dr. would have to call the insurance company and have a peer to peer talk with them. Anyone know what that is ?

Many times the peer to peer is key...docs talking to docs. Ask your insurance coordinator at the surgeon's office about the peer to peer and ask if your surgeon has good results when he does this.
Good luck!

Peer to Peer means your surgeon would talk to the insurance company's doctors.  It can be very frustrating when you are denied multiple times. I walked in your shoes.  My journey to get approved for WLS was 17 months long.  NEVER give up!  Keep appealing & keep fighting - it can be done.  Good luck!  Cindy

Others have answered your question. Just wishing you great luck, keep on them, you'll get it.
