My 7th month doc appt and my docs take on eating!
Yesterday I had my 7 month check up. My doctor was so amazed at how I am doing as far as the weight loss. 97 lbs so far! Yes, it has slowed down but losing nevertheless. He said to expect a 4-6 lb loss a month now which is what I did last month (5 lbs). I am eating a little more which finally kicked me in the butt to exercise. I did my first mile this morning on the treadmill with a pretty good incline and did not get out of breath once. I am going to also start the couch to 5K program soon.
I also talked to him about calories and he said not to worry so much about that. He said when I hit goal that I should be at between 1400-1800 depending on what exercising I do. Now I will be eating around 1000-1200 a day and if I eat the higher to definately exercise.
And as far as what I am eating. I mentioned how I hear to stay under 30 grams of carbs. He looked at me cross-eyed and told me I'd starve. I asked about carbs and just like in Garth Davis' book said to eat healthy complex carbs. I asked him about Oro Wheats Healthy Protein bread with peanut butter for breakfast and he said that's good. And he said get my carbs through fruits and said banana's are good. (my only fruit I love)
Anyway I didn't get fat on eating too many bananas! lol
So I shall continue on in my new lifestyle and be good at what I do and make healthy choices in all walks of life.
