My labs weren't bad although I need to up my iron (36)  which I'm doing among other things.  I don't feel ill, like I'm coming down with something, but I just feel like I want to sleep.  I was in bed by 8:30 last night and asleep by 9 but I'm still exhausted this morning.  Yesterday was the same, could hardly keep my eyes open.

It sucks because I have an appointment at 10am and it's 45 mins away.  Can't be bothered but have to go.

If my sleepiness is because of lowish b12 (498)  and iron, how long will the increased dosages I'm taking now kick in where I have more energy?

I don't know but am swinging that you get it up soon and feel better.  I know feeling exhusted is no fun, I have basically been there since my knee surgery and mine isn't from bad labs, just chronic pain.

I hope you start feeling better and aren't coming down with something.

When I'm super tired it's usually because I have been skipping my B12 and a couple of Protein drinks.  I realized the other day that I didn't put my B12 in my 2 week supply of pills.  I'm surprised I didn't miss it because it is my favorite.  Kindof a treat after taking all of those pills.

    Hope you feel better soon.

There are a couple of things that come to my mind.  One is depression - it often makes you want to just stay in bed and sleep.

The other happens to me.  If I am exercising regularly and then quit.  I feel so tired and just don't want to do anything.  When I absolutely make myself go back into the routine, I feel so much better.

Don't know if either of these help you.  Just guessing I would think it would take a couple of weeks for the B12 and iron to kick in-but I'm not an expert.

Oh no, I'm definately not depressed.  I suffered from a very bad depression a few years back so I know what it's like.  -And yeah, I didn't want to get out of bed then, it's true but this is physical.

I'm feeling a bit better now and not as bad as yesterday, but I am make sure I get all my vits in and up my protein a bit.

I get that way when my D gets low (hence the reason I am taking naps everyday) may want to see where that it is.

I'M IN THE SAME BOAT!   On Tuesday I was feeling EXACTLY the same way.  I almost fell asleep at the wheel!  The NUT had called me the day before to tell me my labs "were in range".  However my numbers were too low for my liking and actually lower than time.  My first labs came out low and so I upped my iron, D3, and switched from sublingual B12 to B12 injections.  Tuesday was about 2 weeks after I'd had a B12 shot, but I had been dragging for awhile.  My iron (41) and B12 (531).  I went home and gave myself a B12 injection 2 weeks early and I feel 100 times better.  I decided to up my iron even more and take B12 sublinguals in conjuction with the injections.  It was about 3 months for me between the first lab work and this most recent lab work and even with my modifications I was still lower.  I would suggest upping your B12 and Iron.

We are in the same boat right enough.  I'd just had a call recently about my labs.  Iron (36) and B12 (498) D is in the low 40's.

I'm taking B12 every day now to see if that will work and vitalady's D and I'm doubling up on the iron.  My next set of labs are due at the end of next month so it will be innteresting to see where my numbers are then.

So far this morning I don't feel so bad (don't know if the vits work that fast but I was in bed early again last night so I got my sleep in.

Fatigue is a symptom of so many things...

But definitely low iron can cause it. So can low B12. Also low Vitamin D.

Hang in there, it took a couple of months of prescription iron and increasing thyroid doses to boost me up.
I hope yours will be sooner!

    Hang in there!

Thx.  I get my next set of labs done at the end of March so I should have a better picture if the changes I'm making are going to work.
