Hi!
I think you are doing GREAT! I am not a Vet here, but will be a year out July 6th.
I was told at about 6 months out to try and get all my protein from food. The NUT suggests 60-80 gms protein and no more. I lose better, and I think feel better when I am 80-100 gms protein. When I was losing (I'm at goal), my carbs were usually 60-70 day, and low calories. I track my food for that at myfitnesspal.com. I still have 1 - 2 "shakes" daily to keep those totals up. I have the sleeve, not RNY, but I just cannot get enough "dense" protein like meats, etc, in at a time to get my protein intake that high. Volume wise if it is protein (like steak, roast - not ground meat) 2 oz, maybe a little more; other foods maybe closer to a 1/2 cup to a cup. Now that I am maintaining, I am having more veggies, fruits and whole grains (some bad stuff too - ugh), but mostly I am trying to eat healthy to get a lot of good nutrients in. During the losing part, protein, protein, protein.
Also, I have noticed, that if I didn't get in all my water/fluids 64 oz or more per day, it seemed like I would retain water. Especially now that it is getting hot and humid - just a thought. Keep the fluids going and that always seems to help get weight off too. Also, I have noticed that I get a headache, and feel very lightheaded if I don't get my fluids in - so be careful.
Take care and you are doing great! don't compare yourself to anyone else.
