I've fallen off the wagon and pray I can get back on!~

I have seen the scales climb~ UGGGHH. It is all my fault. I have let the end of the year stress ruin my success. Carb monster has me possessed.  I have to get back on track. I have come too far to turn back now. For those of you in maintenance faze how long is it going to take me to get 11 lbs off. I am miserable. I looked in the mirror and I don't recognize my own butt. Feel totally awful. Summer has begun. I would love to get up early and exercise. I am feeling like I have lost myself again. I have let stress take over my life and I feel the lbs coming back with it. I am ready to destress and shed some weight. It is a everyday struggle and I have come too far to lose the battle now. Praying for strength to do what I need to to get back down. I am feeling very discouraged and covered in poison ivy not a great combination. What is the best most successful way to decarb and get back on track?

I'm sorry. :(   Go cold turkey and it will take about 3 days of white knuckle determination to break the carb's hold. Use the 5 day pouch thing if you have to. If you do that, read the labels of the latest protein powder, most companies have changed their formulas removing whey protein isolate and using milk something or other, which adds carbs and reduces the bio avail of the protein. It is so easy to fall off the wagon but we are here to help you hold on.  They say surgery is on our tummies, not our heads and it is true.

Look at Miles and menus and get some ideas.  Start with getting your protein in and clean out the house of all bad carbs.  Track your intake and log on Miles and menus.  Weigh on Sundays and report on the Sunday weigh in so you can see your progress.  Excercise will not only help burn the calories but make you feel better.  You can do this.  You did it once and you still have your tool.  Just have to put it back to work.  At least it is 11 lbs, not 20.

I'm so sorry. We are all susceptible to this happening. Love yourself through this. Go back to basics. Protein, veggies, summer berries.  If you stray, climb back on immediately. You are so far ahead of the game by catching this before it was able to grow.

Go look in the mirror and give yourself a pep talk!  Visualize yourself without the 11 pounds.

OK this is what I do....
I give up excercise for the days I am doing this as I get TOO hungry and also it's enough just to do the food...really it's what you put in your mouth that will take the weight off not the excercise..SOO...
I do all protein days...no carbs no fruit no veggies...all the clean protein I want....chicken...turkey..protein shakes.. sugar free popsicles...sugar free jello...but dry protein..nothing on it....no cheese...it really sucks...but after the first day you'll feel better instantly...also drink tons of liquid...just take the water like medicine...and drink drink...broth...
and then do another day if you can or add your veggies in but I do not eat fruit AT ALL...then gradually try to have more days like that than not...in other words I have all protein days during my week regularly even on maintenance....but if you trend towards low carb..protein and veggies the weight will come off....lots of it is water ....honnestly...try to just not think about how you look at first...give yourself a break...wear loose clothes and just do the food bit and you'll be fine...little by little the weight will come off...and you'lll at least be de-carbed...YOU CAN DO THIS>>>SEAVIEW

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. I find I am gaining in my tummy area???? What is up with that oh Yes...Carbs.  Starting protein this week, I can win this battle again!
Great advice! Thanks! I shall be trying it this week.

I am right there with you, you are not alone!  my downfall was adding diet pop...and then the carbs   quickly followed.  trying to get off the pop, and the candy, and the bread.  We all know how to diet, but the maintainence thing is HARD!! stay connected here, the worst thing I did was stop coming  here, even to lurk.  no one really understands how you feel unless your going through it. we are here for you!  stay strong and get back to basics....
Become what you believe..........  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I can say I have never done any carbonation at all. The only thing I drink is crystal light rasberry lemonade or water. Boring at best. I can totally relate to the bread and candy thing though. I love peppermints. They started as a way to settle my tummy now just a down right awful habit. Worse than a cigerette. I found some sugar free ones I am trying to break the peppermint habit. I allowed myself to eat a 1/4 of a subway sub and the bread monster grabbed me. Should have stuck with salads. Guess I know where I am going wrong just have to take the bull by the horns. Chocolate is definately a weakness as well. =(

    Danielle,

I could have written your post!!!  I am fighting 10 pounds and am determined to get there.  We can do this!!!  I am tired of making excuses for my self!  I feel like crap, reminds me of the old days when I used to try to hide behind my clothes.  Figuring out what to wear each day is a battle. I don;t want it to be this way.  I HAVE TO CHANGE!!!

Good luck, we can do this!!!!

Amen!~ We can do this. It is a forever battle. I can remember when I was losing weight so fast. I thought this is so easy little did I know the hard days were ahead. I have to map my plan and stick to it. It is a daily struggle. I pray it will come off. I don't want to go to my 3 year check up feeling like a failure. I have until Nov to get it off and keep it off. Message me anytime. We have to keep those bad things out of our life. Stress and no sleep is definately something I fight daily. It has to get better. We have the tool we just have to work it!
