Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!

Happy Friday!!!   We have a wedding tomorrow so I tried on the 2 dresses that I bought last summer and was worried they wouldn't fit. The dresses fit perfect and I don't know why I was worried because I've only gained 2 pounds since last summer.  I wonder if those feelings ever go away.

That is funny.  So how often does your birthday hit on Friday the 13th? Until I lost all of this weight I never wore dresses.   If I didn't have to wear heels then I would probably like to wear dresses more often but if this was a family wedding then I would probably wear dress capris.

I don't know if this is a fact but I've read that our bodies only absorb around 40g of Protein at one time.  I also read that if it takes you a long time to drink it your saliva breaks down the protein so you don't get all of the benefits.

    Good totals!

Drove home from Blowing Rock in heavy fog and light rain.  It has rain off and on all week but I got in great drives everyday but today.  Almost everything I took is wet so part of my exercise was washing all the wet laundry.  The other was packing and unpacking the trailer.  Haven't weighed since I got home but I think I did pretty good with my food for the week.  I did have more carbs but they weren't horrible.  I got in my protein and liquids so however it ends up, I will deal with it.  The coming days are going to be lots of veggies because now everything is perking in the garden.  I need to spend some serious time picking beans.

    decaf protein coffee
    egg, ham, english muffin
    lemon tea
    grass fed burger, flatout bread
    caribean cooler 12g
    fish chowder
    kraut, sausage, zuccinni casserole
    protein shake 33g

I misplaced my protein scoop in the trailer, found it when unpacking.  So no telling how much protein I was actually adding but I know it was plenty.

Glad to see back Price. I was thinking about you this morning. Do you pull the trailer yourself or do you have a driver?

You reminded me that I have some pork and sauerkraut in the freezer,

Sounds like you have a plan but I'm sure the scales won't be a big surprise.

I had a great time but I was ready to be home.  If it hadn't rained so much, I would have driven today and gotten home later but when it was raining again, I was ready to be home in the rain instead of camping.

I drive the truck and trailer.  Would never be able to leave home if I had to have a passenger, much less a driver.  I've been doing it for years so it isn't a big deal except when it is so foggy like it was today.
