    this week      118

At least I am back down from 118.8 yesterday after coming home from Blowing Rock and I am up in good company.  And of course, I know what to do as you do, Liz.  Maintainance is hard but we are in it together, for life.

Morning, Liz. Just got back from my Sunday morning tanning and shopping. I should buy stock in VitaminShoppe and Barlean's.

I think I'm the same at 123 this morning.

     108.5 lbs

Same as last week. My weight does fluctuate during the week and I was up to 109.8 at one point, so this seems to be a normal fluctuation.

Not much different this week.  The heat makes it hard to want to eat.  Been making a lot of protein ice cream.  Last night I felt like real (sugar free**** cream and it was on sale so I bought some along with some sugar free hot fudge so I had a sundae 'cuz it sounded good  Hopefully I can talk my daughter into eating sugar free ice cream and hot fudge to help get rid of the rest of it.
Last week I was desperate enough that I asked my chiropractor friend if I could come in and see him and make payment arrangements.  I haven't wanted to do that because it's hard to ask for favors and I didn't want to put him on the spot or anything but I've been in so much pain and everyone has been recommending chiropractors and I've wanted to go but my insurance doesn't cover it and I am not in the position to pay even for a school right now.  Anyway, he was so nice.  He told me not to worry about paying, that part of his practice is giving back to people in need and he would be happy to help.  He said he couldn't promise he could fix the pain but he would sure try.  I am going to see him tomorrow and I have a lot of hope that he can help a lot more then has already been done or not done since this is his specialty.

Good for asking for help and that is a NICE friend you have.

That much change in a week is just normal...basically you stayed the same...

Yeap, heat is draining...been making stuff in a rotisserre oven to avoid heating up the kitchen...made several chickens over the last weeks...and been eating lots of chicken salad.

Okay, recipe for protein ice cream please???

Man I'm lazy.  I just buy the chickens at Winco for $3.98 and don't even turn on the oven.  I use my George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill for cooking and pretend I'm having a cookout without even lighting a match.
For the ice cream I just make my favorite protein shake and throw it in the ice cream maker.  There are tons of creative recipes on Eggface and I've tried many and they are great but like I've said, I'm lazy.  Sometimes I'll throw in a big carton of yogurt and a box of sugar free Jello or I'll mix up some sugar free pudding and put it in there.  I just take 2 or 3 cups of milk and a box of sugar free pudding and mix it in the blender with a few scoops of protein powder and put it in the ice cream maker.  Basically anything that tastes good as a drink or dessert that can be put in the ice cream maker I'll give it a try.  I like the ice cream right out of the maker and not after it's been frozen so I try to only make one serving at a time because once it's been frozen it's as hard as a rock but if I do freeze it I just put it in the microwave for 30 seconds or so and it's doable.  I just like it at the soft serve consistency.
For a real treat freeze a serving of a protein shake in the ice cream maker and cut up a protein bar and mix it in for a Blizzard like treat.  I stole that idea from Bariatric Foodie.

I have a Baby George rotisserre...that's what I use for my chickens, roast (beef or pork) and other than making the house smell fantastic, no heating up the house!

Okay, I don't have an ice cream maker...

I got this one although in hindsight I could of used a bigger one.  In the summer I use it all the time.  I keep the freezer bowl in the freezer all the time so it's always handy when I feel like a frozen treat.  It couldn't be easier.  I just put whatever looks like it would make a good frozen treat in there and freeze away.

Geeze, the blizzard sounds great.  I may have to dig out the ice cream maker.

Doesn't that sound good?  Think of the combos, different protein shakes and protein bars.  I love it when I can have a treat and it's good for me, too.
