    Upper GI

    I just got back from my doctors office. I have  my pre ops on July 30 2012. They do EKG, Blood work, x ray chest , ultrasound gallbladder and upper GI.
    I am a lil scared of the upper GI  and was wondering how your expierence was? I know i will get something but still :-)

    I was knocked out too.  No problems.  Sounds like pretty normal pre-ops except I had already had my gallbladder removed.  Not to worry.

    I got scoped up AND down becuase of GERD and IBS.  Like Gina, I didnt know anything happened.  Woke up hungry.  Not a biggy.

    I wasn't knocked out but it was a lot like getting an xray after drinking a fizzy drink and not anything scary.

    You are so lucky that you get knocked out for it, up here you're awake (stoned) but awake.  I know I'm going to puke, and freak out when the Dr is trying to shove that tube down my throat.

     Mine was last week and I was nervous too but it went very smooth.  Nothing to be concerned about in retrospect, easy stuff.
