Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period.

Happy over the Hump day! I'm taking today off. I need some ME time. I'm sure I'll probably end up with little ones but if I can just get a couple of hours of lazy time I'll be ok. All of the changes at work, angry clients, and day care providers has been made for a couple of long weeks of stress.

My great aunt used to say she married her husband for better or worse but not for lunch.  I tried it when DH retired, didn't work.  And I work at home.  Uck.  Oh well, at times he plays golf and he and DS are going on a golf holiday in August.  I am so looking forward to having some alone time.  We have been together for over 40 yrs and I love him, just not 24/7.

I wouldn't trade my DH for anything in the world, but 24/7 is a tough adjustment.  He did go on an overnight trip with some of the guys he used to work with last Friday and it was nice to just go home and chill.  He likes to talk about everything and anything and I like quite -so we are different like that...

I will have to continue working after DH retires because I won't be able to stand him hovering over me.  He called me quite a few times yesterday wanting to know what I was doing but I guess that isn't any different than any other day.  He calls me at work every day too.  Love him to pieces though!!!

What's the recipe for low carb meatballs?  I use Quaker Oats in mine so I figure at least I'm using good carbs.

    Good menu!

I wish I could stop at 4 saltines.  If I could then I'd probably have them more often.  I need to just pack 4 instead of bringing a package with me to work.

    Sounds Good!

It was take out and that is what came with it or I might not have stopped too.  I ended up adding a protein bar also.  These 6:15 classes don't fit in my schedule.  I had the protein bar before, then didn't have the shake after supper because it was so late.

Did you change jobs Jody or are you doing the same job in Michigan?   Diet Coke?  I've had a few sips since surgery but I can't deal with the carbonation.  I used to love that burning sensation!

Getting time to spend with DGD...that's great!  I'm going to miss our DGS's when they move out in September.

Is your DS still in TX?  How is he doing?

I'm doing the same job.  I have to go back to VA next week though.  I haven't "officially relocated" back as of yet... can't wait though!  I won't be moving back full-time though, I'll be keeping a place in VA and splitting my time between.  I'll be giving up my house and finding a room share type of situation for when I'm there.  I figured that's probably a couple of months away.

I remember carbonation early out just killed me, but now it doesn't bother me.  Guess I'm used to it..

Yea - she's such a doll... she's getting used to me here.  When I go somewhere she looks around and goes "where GrGr" (that's what she calls me - so cute!)

Yes, my boy is in TX.  He's doing well.  He came back to MI for the 4th for a week and got terribly homesick.  I knew that would happen, he just loves it here.  I think he's applying for other jobs now to get out of TX.  We'll see what happens with that.
