Weight Loss Surgery Directory

Good Morning. 5 year surgiversary today

    Ha! I didn't forget.

Let's see...comorbidities going in were diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure, degenerative disk disease in my back with lots of pain. Today, all of those are resolved, or in the case of the back pain, mostly resolved. I thank my lucky stars that I still have my gall bladder and have had no kidney stones....{knocking on wood}.

When I first started researching and came to OH, I joined the lightweight board first and the DS board second. Good grief we DSrs loved the drama and surgery wars back then! The lightweight board has been and still is a safe haven and totally supportive group, and I like it this way.

I've made so many friends in the past 5 years and I cannot tell you how different that is for me. Love my lightweights!

    Aw, happy day major mom.

When I came to OH, I looked around and tried out a number of different boards. Without a doubt, you, Roz, Linda and others made me feel at home here. I knew I was in the right place. You are such a helper, figher, and inpiration. Thanks for sharing your morning protein coffee with me each morning.

     Hi Gina,

Happy 5th year surgiversary!!! You are not only a success, but a true inspiration for all of us who have followed after you. I love your no nonsense approach and the depth of knowledge that you have on everything WLS related. I also respect you for being able to say, when you aren't sure about something. Finally, thank you for all your support and guidance during my early months, when I had such a difficult recovery, marred by complications.

I hope you had a wonderful day!!

    Gail

p.s. You look great and I am jealous of your wonderful body.

Congratulations, I echo the appreciation already voiced!
Happy 5 year surgiversary!!! You have inspirted me...so much so, I left my surgeon and changed my choice of surgery!!! I did not change because anyone browbeat me, I changed my own mind after 2 years of research and reading and researching and reading, etc. You are an inspiration in the way you approach questions with straight forward answers and the way you have remained and helped anyone who asked on the boards. Thank you for all the well wishes and answers you have provided to me. I look forward to many years of enjoying yours and others posts and the safe haven and support the lightweight  forum offers.

Shoot! I am a day late but happy surgiversary you hottie!
