hey everyone. Anyone else sleeved with a BMI of 33? How was your rate of losing (I kniow everyone is different. Just curious)

how was your recovery, and how much have you lost so far? I'm female, 27, 5'10 and about 235lbs. I'm not setting a goal weight for myself.

healthy and happy is my goal!

You should do well and good for you for taking this step early rather than waiting.

There is an estimator on this site somewhere.  I used to have it bookmarked then they did away with bookmarks.  I found it was pretty much right on the money for how I was losing, in fact, I lost just a touch faster than it said I would.  Just remember that for lightweights you need to look at % of excess weight loss not the # of pounds.  You just are not going to lose 40lbs the first month like our heavier friends and after the initial months, you will slow down to something like 1 pound a week more or less.

Congrats on your date and getting healthy!!!

Congrats on your Decision!!  Boy if I just had a little bit of your height....LOL!!!    I wish I had done this years ago while I was at a lower BMI than a 40.

I'm finding the first month I lost pretty good, but now it is coming off soooooo slow... I'm having a hard time not getting frustrated, but I know if I stick with the plan it will work.  It took me a while to find a rythem... getting all my fluid and protein was hard for me, but I finally got it down. :)

Good luck!  :)

The estimator mentioned above is under the resources link above and then under post op planner.  If you choose the 100% though you really have to be committed... heres to hoping!

I had a BMI of 31. Could not stop gaining. Month 1 I lost 12 lb. month 2: 8  month 3: 8. I'm in month 4 now and I'm losing 1 - 2 lb a week. It's slow going but it's worth it!  Had a very smooth recovery.
