Hi, I have stalled 2 weeks out, what happened to the honeymoon? I thought the first couple of months we tend to lose easily and quickly. 6 weeks later and I am wearing my size 16-18 pants. I know I have lost 21 pounds but I cant see it. I have been at 186-188 for 16 days now.   Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else. I need to know I did not make a boo boo. My hormone dumping is in full swing-I am so unhappy if unbelievable-considering I am normally happy and positive. Sorry I am off topic. Thanks in advance!

Normal. Your body is just taking a quick breather.  : )

I also had a 10 day stall about 2 weeks out. If you search on the site, you will find tons of posts about those dreaded stalls (most say it hits at 3 weeks, mine was at 2). I always looked at it this way - if I'm doing everything my surgeon outlined, the weight has no choice but to come off. One day I got back on the scale and was down 5 and am back to normal losses. It's hard to stall so early out especially when we expect these huge losses, but it happens.

Hang in there! You are right on track. Just keep following your plan and you will get there, stalls and all.

As for your mood, that was tough for me too. Big hugs to you!

Stalls, yeah they happen.  Put the scale away if it is bothering you.  Celebrate doing your plan perfectly and you will know that the weight is going to come off.  Celebrate something you can control, getting your protein and fluid in, not something you can't, the scale.

Hormones, my dr group suggested everyone go on an anti depressant for those reasons exactly.  I have never been on any psych meds but did for the 6-9 months after surgery and I do think it helped.  All those hormones are stored in your fat and as you lose it, you release them.  It can be a rough ride for some.

Congrats on getting through your first month.  I didn't change sizes in clothes for a while with my swollen tummy.  You will start seeing changes soon, scale and otherwise and it will be all you were aiming for.

You're doing fantastic!  I lost first in my upper body, face neck & arms...

You said you've lost 21 lbs and your ticker says you have 56 left to go (that means you had 77 total loss as goal).  Compare the two numbers & That's literally 1/3 of your total goal in 6 weeks, pretty darn amazing!!! We lose slower as light weights because we have less to lose, but I gotta say you are way ahead of the norm!  Keep it up, you are doing great!!!  At this rate you'll be at goal in no time!!!

Good Luck & enjoy the journey!!

It is normal, but frustrating!  Believe me, I know!  I stall a lot and I am a slow loser, but I'm still losing.  I was feeling down about stalling so much and I just this past weekend looked and I have lost 60 lbs!  It took me a while to get here because I seem to stall about 2-3 weeks out of the month, but then I drop a few lbs pretty fast.

Just keep following the plan and it will come off, your body is just readjusting. :)

Also, my butt and thighs are the last to go...  I would have so many people complementing my waist and saying they can really see it in my face.  It actually got discouraging because I wanted my biggest problem area to go away.  It finally started to melt away like everything else.  I am wearing a pair of jeans today that are a size 10!  I have NEVER been this small.  I was wearing size 18 when I graduated high school and I only got bigger from there.

Easier said than done, but just be patient, follow the plan and it will come off. :)

Congrats on your 21 pound loss!!  Did you take your body measurements?  It is really strange but during a stall we usually are losing inches.  Your body is just resting.  If it lasts much longer increase your GOOD Protein for 3 days and then drop back down to what you are consuming now and that should jump start you.

I had a 10 day stall 3 weeks out and seem to be in one now about 5 days so far. What worked for me was concentrating on my water and protein. I found if I'm dehydrated and not getting my protein my body doesn't want to give anything up. What really helped was knowing from everyone here that it is normal. I started exercising again this week so I'm expecting a stall until my body resets itself. Stick with your plan and the scale will move again.

Carpe Diem!
