    Metabolism is going to be the topic at our next support group. When I think about what my metabolism was pre-op I use words like busted, broken, burned out, turned off. Now it seems to be more normal and immediately post-op it was burning bright, going full throttle, etc.

    How do you think about your metabolism pre-op and post-op?

    We got your back. Don't get too wrapped up in the pre-op diet thing. No studies show it's really necessary, especially for light weights. Do your best but don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon a little.

    Topic: RE: Good morning. Any Trekkies? Guess who's going to the movie this morning.

    Son#1 is taking hubby and me to the IMAX version this morning. It's the one that you have to wear those funky glasses to see the special effects.    Anyway, I fully intend to enjoy some popcorn but wishing I could sneak a protein shake or diet cranberry juice in with me. Trust me, I do not need extra bubbles in my system, nor do I want to pay $5 for the privilege. 

    What are your plans for the day? Anyone spending time in the garden? I so want to do that. It will be container gardening at best but have to figure out a way to keep the deer, birds and squirrels off my plants.

    I only did ok low carb wise. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to my plan-prep-practice-and do it method. I don't seem to be able to just kick it into gear the day after I decide to do it. I seem to have to work up to it...a deliberate process kind of thing.
