Ok, gonna see Doctor this week and i will get ragged on for being low on protein. I think I am going to have to do a protein supplement. Does anybody mix up a couple portions and then drink them over a few days? I am thinking I could do a half serving a day if i mixed up a drink with extra coco and other stuff to improve taste.    wish protein came in red wine flavor.   diane

I usually have half a serving of Click Espresso Protein Drink with almond-coconut milk in the morning.  It's more of caffeine delivery system for me since real coffee stirs up my GERD.  I blend one scoop of Click (a full serving is two scoops) with 8oz of almond-coconut milk and two ice cubes.  It's palatable, specially with the almond-coconut milk, but really only delivers 7.5 grams of protein.

I do atleast one shake a day...usually for breakfast because it's something I can run out the door with.  Since I'm above goal, sometimes I do one for breakfast and one for dinner...it's just convenient.

Yup. I still start every day with a RTD Shake.  I like to keep my protein really high (100-120) so this helps me do that.  I'm not much of a breakfast person.  Also, I like to keep my morning to liquids and softs to keep my restriction really tight for as many hours of the day as possible.  Granted, I'm able to do that because I still have very little hunger at about 18 mos out.

I'm only 10 months out but I still do one protein shake a day - because I like it, as weird as that seems.  I use the Unjury Chocolate Splendor and mix with with almond milk.  I pour it over ice and drink it during my commute to work.

I'm pretty much at the point where I can probably give it up because I'm getting more than enough protein, but it's my little insurance policy.

I have a shake for breakfast every morning.  I'm over 3 years out.  If I have a crazy day on the road I have one for lunch too, as a convenience.

I love the matrix syntrax mint cookie.  I  make mine 2.5 cups of water, and a full scoop of powder.  I like the hydration in the morning.  the only thing I don't like is the cost of the powders.  I buy it online, shop it always but always feel like I'm being ripped off.

Good luck with your appt.
