Teacher's Lounge - again...sigh...

Today is Chili Cook Off day.  I was ready for the chili, but not for the rest of it. I walked into the teacher's lunchroom and was assaulted by desserts and carbs. Never, never have I seen cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped French Bread (steaming right out of the oven, too). And the platters of chocolate chip and lace cookies and peanut butter balls... I was thinking, "Oh, just kill me now!".

I'm posting because it just helps me get it out and experience this as a victory because I didn't eat one damn thing from those tables! Staying strong!

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

You aren't kidding.  I had no idea how much worse elementary staff rooms were (food wise) than high school ones.  Fortunately I barely have time to go in and people seem to be mostly reasonable here.  I've even used it to get rid of some holiday treats no one at home was eating.

Not sure I'd have resisted those peanut butter chocolate ball things, though.  Mercy!
